look of the day, "Classy traveller" FT home made map skirt!

Hey Guys and Dolls! today's look is inspired by a skirt i made myself for some of my fashion design projects, I made the skirt from a plastic table cloth for a project called grids and maps! And it has been lying in my wardrobe for just over 2 years unworn, so i decided to get it out and style it up! And as much as i hate layering up winters here and its getting cold already and its only the beginning of November so i imagine by December its going to be freezing! so ive layered up with a cute cropped jacket and of course my winter saviours coloured tights and fur! inspirations of the week - week two! - Carmen Miranda!

OK, so this is the second week of my inspirations of the week which im planning on doing each week showing which things inspired me and why! however this one is a little late due to lots and lots happening last week. So this week i haven't bee inspired by a lot of things like last week but just one glamorous lady has inspired me this week and thats Carmen Miranda the Brazillian singer/ dancer and actress. I have to totally agree that me and her share the love for more is more! and not doing any thing but halfs when it comes to styling myself. I hate anything minimal and believe styling yourself to the max every single day is the way to go! so this week i have looked to the forever stylish and one of my main fashion inspirations I love the way she wore her quirky fruity head pieces and of course that incredible platform shoe collection shes a girl after my own heart!  and of course you cant forget her love for over the top exquisite head pieces and turban! and you all know im a huge turban lover and lover off all things flamboyant especially in the head wear variety. So Carmen this weeks inspiration goes to you and only you. Because who can live up to her style in one week?

She was a lover of the platform the same as myself! and had pairs made my some of the words best shoe designers with custom fruit, studs and even embellishment! i just hope one day i have a shoe collection amazing as hers!

She also rocked that incredible hair roll!

Known for her incredible talent, beauty and style Carmen Miranda will forever be one of my style icons along with Lucille Ball and Ginger Rogers! and that's why she had to be this weeks one and only inspiration because what else can be put along side her?

hope you enjoyed the post feel free to comment!

most recent charity shop buys!

So ive been shopping lately! well AGAIN! the loore of as charity shop is just to much i can never resist having to go in! and even though there really cheap you cant help buying more and more things which usually ends up meaning spending all my weeks pay in a matter of day! but at least your getting the quality in vintage items you pay two or three pounds for! where as if you went into topshop or h&m for the extra £20 or thirty pounds the quality just isn't there. And the thing that gets me is about 2000 other people will have exactly the same thing! so if you want to be unique and wear something that no one else will have? try the charity shops. You dont have to dress head to toe in vintage you dont even have to wear vintage at all you can find great brands like topshop, Karen milen and sometimes even designer brands! at a fraction of the original price and you can still look fashionable but at a cheaper price and still be unique. They'll be as good as new after a quick wash in the washing machine! But still... enough of my stupid excuses and trying to justify my ridiculous spending habits but a girl can never have to many clothes right? well that's what i think and since ive been working hard lately i thought id treat myself so heres my most recent charity shop finds which i have collected up over the last few week.
